Glee – “The Rocky Horror Glee Show”
- For some non-apparent reason, I was actually really excited about this episode. (I wasn’t a huge fan of the movie. It was a little too out there for me.) And most of the episode, I loved. It was reminded me why I watch this show. Plus, whoever cast John Stamos now has my gratitude. He’s perfect, and that’s from someone who thought it was weird casting at first.

I was not a fan, however, of the ending plot where Will just randomly decided that they should not do Rocky Horror. If I was those kids, I would’ve been upset, but for no reason, they all had issues with the show and liked the idea. (Whatever. Plus, I hated the Sam and Finn plot. It annoyed me. Maybe because I hate Sam.) I was happy that they did the show but for themselves. I did like that. I also liked the Will/Emma plot.

I want to talk about Will now. The writers don’t really seem to know what to do with him (Rachel too). They keep focusing on one character trait, one that has been hashed and rehashed, and one that we thought we’d left far behind. For Will, that trait is his “crossing the line.” (For Rachel, it’s her competitive, devil-may-care thing, but this is about Will.) In “Britney/Brittany,” Will “crossed the line” by dancing in Toxic. In this episode, Will “crossed the line” by doing Rocky Horror, but that wasn’t enough! Because next episode, Will is supposed to “cross the line” again. I don’t appreciate it, writers. You should fix this.

Other than that, I liked this episode. This season isn’t great, but it’s been good enough to make me continue watching. Plus, Darren Criss is coming in soon. I hope. And Puck will be back next week.

Chuck – “Chuck vs the Cubic Z”
- Steve Austin and Nicole Richie were back in this episode, and Sarah and Chuck were having relationship issues. Basically, Sarah was afraid Chuck was going to want to go too fast into the relationship. Nicole Richie kept pushing this issue, even after she, Sarah, and Chuck had to start running away from Steve Austin. Also, Big Mike came back, helped Morgan, and became assistant manager.
- Best line = “Fire emergency override. Where is it? Or you die.” – Casey

Castle – “Under the Gun”
- This was a really good episode too in which we learned a little about Beckett’s past by meeting her mentor. Obviously, he turned out to be a bad guy, looking for treasure. And that was pretty much what the mystery was – looking for treasure AKA the reason the bad guys killed the victim. Castle was dealing with Alexis wanting a moped-thing as well. Brian Krause (Leo from Charmed) showed up as a priest who might have killed the victim, except he didn’t.
- Best line = “It’s making me doubt my own genius.” – Castle

Glee – “Grilled Cheesus”
- I knew I was going to have issues with this episode when I found out what it was about. Kurt’s dad has a heart attack, and everyone starts going on about religion and how awesome it is. Kurt is basically like screw you all, and I loved that so much. Except it didn’t really last (per se), which made me sad. And obviously, his dad woke up at the end. I love Sue’s plot though. I guess if you’re religious, this episode wasn’t bad. I just wasn’t overtly thrilled past “Only the Good Die Young,” which was in the first five minutes. Except for ”I Want to Hold Your Hand,” which was absolutely beautiful.

Bones – “The Maggots in the Meathead”
- This episode was way better than I expected. I still cringed every time Brennan did something relative to Jersey Shore, but essentially, the logic behind it was okay. It’s just they made Brennan seem stupid because she didn’t know the difference between a documentary and a reality TV show. With Brennan’s IQ, I’m pretty sure she’d be able to figure that out, guys. Plus, when did Brennan get a TV?

Fringe – “The Plateau”
- I LOVE THIS SEASON. It’s official. This episode was back in the other universe with real Olivia who thinks she’s Fauxlivia. We got to see the other team’s dynamic while they worked a case about a guy, Milo, who (with the help of smart drugs) was able to predict a whole bunch of things by playing out scenarios in his head to a satisfactory outcome. He was killing the people that were trying to take him off the drugs, but when Olivia and Charlie caught up to him, Olivia defied Milo’s predictions because she didn’t know the protocol. Then, to make the episode even more awesome, there was a scene with Olivia and Peter, and it was the best thing ever. Don’t believe me? Here’s a video. See for yourself.

The Mentalist – “The Blood on His Hands”
- Finally a Red John/dealing with Kristina Frye’s kidnapping episode! Except not really. Jane, Lisbon, and the team investigated that one cult place again while other people dealt with Kristina’s kidnapping. Until the end of the episode when THEY FOUND KRISTINA. Except Red John did something to her, and now she thinks she’s dead. It was awesome (and sad).

Smallville – “Supergirl”
- Apparently I watched this episode because I hate myself. In it, Kara showed back up, was awesome and Supergirl, and made Clark look like a total loser. Clark failed to fly, and it was hilarious. Also, Lois randomly showed up from Africa, and then she proceeded to put on random costume after random costume (including a dominatrix outfit) to help Clark/get at Gordon Godfrey (So, apparently, Cat Grant’s plot was important after all). Gordon was infected by Darkseid three weeks ago, and because of this, his eyes would randomly go black like a demon’s and/or someone who was Brainiac infected. Speaking of Brainiac, next week is episode 200, and he’ll be back. I’m not expecting much, though, especially since Lois seems to think it’s her class reunion too. (Remind me why they seem to REALLY want her to be Chloe again?)

Supernatural – “The Third Man”
- CAS CAME BACK. Can you tell I was excited? Dean and Sam were investigating this plague thing, which was caused by the Staff of Moses, or part of it. They figured out where the thing was once Cas (with Sam’s permission) hurt this little kid to figure out which angel had taken his soul. It turns out the angel was Balthazar (also Newton on Fringe), who Cas had a history with (AKA Cas thought he was dead). Raphael followed them to get the staff in order to win Heaven’s Civil War (or something to that effect), but Sam, Dean, Cas, and Balthazar beat Raphael and his men. Sam and Dean had a moment at the end where they talked about hell, but nothing really came of it. Basically, Sam is evil or something because he went to hell and came back and is now sleeping with hookers.
- Best line(s) = “We can rule Moses out as a suspect.” – Cas
-Sam: “Were you racing me?”
 Dean: “No. I was kicking your ass.”

Because I went on Fall Break, I didn’t get to watch Community or HIMYM yet, but I did see Top Chef: Just Desserts. It was crazy. Just insane. Ridiculously crazy insane.

Bones – “The Couple in the Cave”
- I honestly don’t pay that much attention to this show anymore because if I did, I would get SO UPSET. They did write Brennan much better this week, not that the people online recognize that they’ve been writing her poorly. Gah. Other than that, I actually really liked Hannah. She was pretty awesome, and she makes Booth happy. As much as I want Booth and Brennan to get together, Brennan said no, guys. Booth isn’t Chase (apparently), and he needed to move on (for now). I also figured out how the killer was simply because he was in so much of the episode.

Fringe – “The Box”
- This episode got a little slow in the middle, but overall, it was really good. There was a good moment between Peter and Walter, even if it was really sad. Fauxlivia is AWESOME. (Not as much as our Olivia but whatever.) I’m upset at the people who have been hating on her and on Peter. I just love them all. I’m liking this alt-universe/our universe thing they’ve got going on, and I thought it was really cool that Walter inherited Massive Dynamic. It just feels dangerous. Plus, I appreciated the Fauxlivia/Peter moments (even if I wish it was Olivia/Peter).

The Mentalist – “Cackle-Bladder Blood”
- The episode was a typical Mentalist episode, except we dealt with Jane’s brother-in-law. Also, Lisbon had a cute encounter with an elephant, and Van Pelt got all dressed up to help Jane. I liked it better than last week’s, but next week? Is supposed to be a continuation of the kidnapping plot! I’m excited.

Smallville – “Shield”
- I’m not sure I actually want to talk about this episode. I liked Cat Grant well enough, and her scenes with Oliver were okay, as were Tess’s scenes. Things I didn’t like: EVERYTHING ELSE. I should have known I wasn’t going to like the episode when Allison Mack wasn’t in the credits. I was upset about the Chlollie, Clark’s lack of reaction, Lois’s random non-plot in Egypt (thought she was going to Kenya?), and Tess’s stand-in impression of Chloe. I’m probably not going to watch this week’s, but I have to watch the 200th episode. Gah. Then, I’ll probably skip everything until “Luthor,” then until AM comes back, or maybe I’ll watch some scenes online.

Supernatural – “Two and a Half Men”
- It wasn’t that this was a bad episode. It just wasn’t that great, probably because it was a lot of filler. Dean with the baby was SO ADORABLE, and I was amused that the baby turned black. I missed parts of the shapeshifter plot, I guess, because I got really confused in the middle of the episode. But why did they take the baby to the Campbells? Sam’s idea. He’s evil (I want him to be evil so bad.), and the Campbells are not to be trusted. Ben and Lisa both annoyed me this episode, but Dean with the Impala at the end made up for EVERYTHING else. EVERYTHING.

HIMYM – “Cleaning House”
- The beginning of this episode was a little slow, but the end was adorable. I liked that Barney decided he was black, and I was glad Wayne Brady guest-starred again. The scene between Barney and his mom was the best thing ever. I loved it. Jennifer Morrison shows up on October 18th, and I am SO EXCITED.

Community – “Accounting for Lawyers”
- This episode was funny, not as funny as the premiere though. Jeff saw some lawyer friend of his, and he went back to lawyer-world for a little bit. Annie knew this lawyer through her Narcotics Anonymous meetings though, and he was the one who turned Jeff in. The gang all went to the lawyer party to “save” Jeff (I think?). Abed, Annie, and Troy had the best adventure ever while trying to get evidence, and by the end of the episode, Jeff realized he wanted to hang out with everyone who cared. It was a cute moment.

Also of note: Gabby won Scream Queens! I was really excited about this. Seth still isn’t going on Top Chef: Just Desserts, which sucks, and JJ left Criminal Minds. I haven’t watched the episode yet, but I’m going to. JJ is my second favorite character (after Reid), and I’m sad to see her go. Like I was sad when Cameron left House and Chloe left Smallville. All my characters are leaving. It’s so depressing.

“Britney/Brittany”
- Remember how last week’s episode was actually really good? Well… this week’s reminded me why I’m on the fence about continuing to watch this show.

Basically, everyone ever went to the dentist, and they all had hallucinations about Britney Spears. WTF. I have no idea, and it made me feel like I was high. It was well done, if made of complete crack. Heather Morris shined in her the first ever Brittany-centric episode and delivered some great one liners, but the rest of the episode more or less fell apart.

They decided you needed to hate Will and Rachel more. (I don’t hate either one of them. In fact, Will is my favorite character, and Rachel is in my top 5. Pretty much, that’s because Rachel is so deliciously broken [kind of]. They explained it well this episode.) I did like Will, Emma, and Carl scenes. John Stamos was way better than I was expecting. I loved him so much, and I realized how much I missed Terri in her scene. I liked Finn and Rachel’s stuff too.

I liked the episode okay, but I’m not sure this is the kind of show I want to watch every week. Unless Matthew Morrison looks like he did in “Toxic” every episode. Oh my God. Best part of the episode, no matter how “inappropriate” other people thought it was. I also really liked Artie’s “Stronger.”

I am excited about next week’s rendition of “Only the Good Die Young.” I absolutely adore that song.

Now, for spoilers…

• Fox cancelled Lone Star, but for once, Fox cancelled a show I don’t watch. So, I didn’t really care.
• Eliza Dushku is playing an FBI agent on The Big Bang Theory. I really need to catch up on that show.
• Bones is doing an episode entirely from Brennan’s POV, which should be cool. Should being the operative word because this is what I’ve heard: “It’s a very stylized episode where Brennan is investigating a murder of someone who appears to be her.” – What does that EVEN MEAN?
• For those of you worried (even though it’s a kickass plotline, which I am super excited about) about Olivia, who believes she’s Fauxlivia, this has been said: “Olivia’s journey will not be an easy one, and it will require help from unexpected sources.”
• Smallville spoilers have been depressing me. I don’t want to talk about them. The end.

Chuck – “Chuck Vs the Suitcase”
- THIS EPISODE. It was everything I wanted last week’s episode to be. SO MUCH LOVE. First of all, we talked about how awesome Chuck and Sarah’s relationship is. Except it’s “not.” Sarah Walker just has so many issues that she hasn’t even unpacked her suitcase in 8 months. (People with issues are my favorites.) So, basically, Chuck and Sarah have to go a mission together to get smart bullet technology away from this model and the Hulk, and they were awesome doing it. Even though the model knew they were coming, they did end up getting the technology… eventually - after awesome disguises, declarations of love, a girl fight, a slap fight, and some adorable Charah drama.

Side plots of which they were many: Morgan did not like new, efficient Buy More. Because it wasn’t the Buy More, and Devon noticed. Chuck convinced him he’s not a spy though. Huh. Yeah. Devon is also being really attentive to pregnant Ellie, and Casey doesn’t want to put down roots by talking to his daughter. As a direct side plot to the main plot, Sarah’s suitcase was the “Achilles heel” in the relationship. Solutions? Morgan hires back all the old Buy More employees, including Jeff and Lester, and he gets made store manager. Ellie almost finds out about Chuck being a spy again, but she doesn’t. Casey finally talks to Alex at the end. It was SO cute. And Chuck and Sarah talk. She tells him that he’s her home, and the crisis is averted. Until Chuck talks about starting a family. That’s their REAL Achilles heel.

It was all lovely.

Castle – “He’s Dead, She’s Dead”
- While obviously not as good as Chuck, this was still a good episode (So was last week’s, but the mystery was more interesting this week.). Granted, I felt like I could be watching The Mentalist, sort of, but meh. I like that show too.

Basically, a psychic died. Castle believed in the psychic, and Beckett didn’t. Pretty much, this psychic had a lot of dirt on a lot of people, and that all had to be sifted through to get to the truth. The truth was that the mother (in the mother-daughter pair Castle and Beckett interviewed early on in the episode) killed her husband because he was cheating on her. Then, she killed the psychic to shut her up because she thought the psychic was going to tell. There was also a bit about how the psychic was actually psychic, but I don’t buy it, so meh.

Sub plot: Castle’s mother almost got engaged to Chet. She said she’d think about, and then, HE DIED. WTF, show? That was crazy. Maybe if he’d died like a couple of episodes later, I’d be okay, but he died within like 10 minutes (of show time, next day in Castle time). While it was slightly ridiculous, I couldn’t help but LOVE the Castle/his mother convo at the end. Killed me dead. “I raised a great man.” (Maybe the quote?) I had tears.

But most importantly, the psychic’s daughter (who apparently was also psychic? which was lame) told Beckett a couple of things throughout the episode. One time she told her that a man named Alexander would be important to her. And guess what? Castle’s middle name is Alexander. (And his real name is Richard Alexander Rogers. I like Richard Castle better. Good choice.) It was the best.

So, today was made of awesome TV and not so bad other stuff. I don’t know who won Scream Queens yet, so I kind of want to figure that out. But I have to write a paper. Meh.

ETA: I forgot that I was going to rave about another song that Chuck had which is awesome. “A Girl, A Boy, and A Graveyard” by Jeremy Messersmith – Check it out.

First of all, it was the start of a new school year, so the whole gang met in the library. Britta thought people were laughing at her behind her back, but really, they thought she was awesome. Jeff lost some of his popularity for walking out on Britta after she professed her love for him, but he was still popular with Annie, who was ecstatic over the kiss. In order to even the playing field, Jeff told Britta he loved her in front of the entire Anthropology class, and they began “dating.” Their fake dating was the best, as was their super awkward kiss. Jeff learned a hard-earned lesson about respect and how people are important, and by the end of the episode, the gang was okay with each other. And most importantly, Annie was no longer in love with Jeff. (! Thank you, episode!) Senor Chang also asked to join the study group, possibly to infiltrate and destroy it.

HIMYM was not NEARLY as good. Basically, Ted was in a bar with Barney and depressed!Robin. He wanted to hit on this girl, but Barney called dibs. Eventually Ted bought the dibs, but the girl was there with Cindy (aka Rachel Bilson, remember?). He and Cindy talked, and he finally worked up the nerve to go talk to the girl, which was when she and Cindy kissed. The subplot of the episode involved Lily and Marshall trying to have a baby, but Marshall told his dad all about it. It wasn’t all that great.

News Items: Chuck has cast SUMMER GLAU! (Chuck, I love you.)
Apparently, Oliver will be telling the world he’s Green Arrow in this season. (WTF, show.)

I think that’s about it. Tomorrow, we continue with our regularly scheduled shows, and it’s also the Scream Queens finale, which means I might talk about that.

Friday September 24

Smallville – “Lazarus”
- Okay, the episode was slow in the beginning. Lois saved Clark from dying, which I guess was okay. Maybe. He then went back to Watchtower, where he and Chloe barely cared about each other and made me sad. Then, he went to the Daily Planet where Lois was to get some files. That scene was really lame and was definitely the worst one of the episode. Something happened after that, but I’m not entirely sure what. Chloe put on Dr. Fate’s helmet (which wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be), and she got knocked out by it (or something). CLARK ACTUALLY CARED ABOUT THIS and took her to Emil. THAT WAS THE BEST SCENE IN THE EPISODE. Season 10 has now officially had more Chlarkiness than Season 9 had (except for Escape). Hand hold and worry. But no hug, which made me sad. I need a hug in the LAST season, guys.

At some point in time, Clark went to the Fortress where Jor-El told him he sucked. Way to be late to the party. Tess found some Lex clones, and one of them escaped and kidnapped Lois. Clark went to save her and defeated Fake!Lex, and he thought they were all dead. But Tess saved little Alexander! (I have missed Luthor plotlines SO MUCH.) They had the Jonathan and Clark scene at the end, and it was kind of adorable, if several seasons too late. Also, Lois went to Africa, and Chloe traded herself for Oliver? I don’t know because I couldn’t see it. That scene was WAY TOO DARK. Fix the lighting, SV. This is the second season it’s been a problem.

I was SO GLAD Allison Mack was in the credits. I was kind of freaking out about it. Overall, this was a really good premiere. I doubt they’ll be able to keep it up with AM leaving, but meh.

Supernatural – “Exile on Main Street”
- I guess this episode was okay. Lisa and Dean are living together when Dean thinks something is hunting them. Turns out, he’s been poisoned, but Sam saves him. Sam’s been alive all year, which Bobby knew, and he’s been hunting with the Campbells (cousin and their dead grandfather). There was some lame stuff about how no one knows why Grandpa’s alive, but I didn’t much care. Sam and Dean hunted the things that were trying to kill them, and then Dean decided to stay with Lisa and Ben.

Random Thoughts:
1. I didn’t hate Lisa. It was a miracle
2. THE NEW TITLE CARD IS SO PRETTY.
3. I loved the way they interspersed Dean’s new life with Dean’s old life.
4. Sam and Bobby were kind of dicks for not telling Dean Sam was alive.
5. I MISS CAS! And I liked Yellow-Eyes’s guest spot.
6. The hug and Dean wanting to give Sam the Metallicar were both adorable, if sad.

I guess that’s all about those for tonight. Oh, yeah. There were actually two more Chloe seasons that were supposed to be in the premiere, but they got cut and moved elsewhere. I wonder how important those scenes most be if  they CAN BE RANDOMLY MOVED. SV, don’t make me mad at you now. I liked the premiere, remember?

Thursday September 23

Bones – “The Mastodon in the Room”
- Well, it was better than I expected. I still wasn’t really impressed, but I guess it was okay. What I want to know is why was Cam so randomly bad at people? It would have made more sense if it was all about the kid, but apparently, no, she became bad at people over seven months. Also? Am I honestly supposed to believe that NO ONE on Earth could replace them all for seven months? Because I really don’t.

Other Random Things I Didn’t Like:
1. Angela’s pregnancy plot – just doesn’t fit on the show and the whole Wendell plot just happened (I like it because it’s Angela and Hodgins though.)
2. Wendell being the “new intern.” Lame. I want Zach back.
3. Sweets and Daisy – NO. SWEETS DO NOT FALL FOR HER STUPIDNESS AGAIN.
4. They have completely forgotten how to write Brennan – either she has too much of a lack of people skills, or she can read people too well. It varies on a scene to scene basis.

Fringe – “Olivia”
- Fringe does this thing where their episodes are REALLY slow. For some reason, this was one of them. Other than that, I enjoyed it. Anna Torv is awesome. I love that she’s “remembering” who she is, and I love Peter and Fauxlivia being together. That was probably my favorite part of the episode. Also, when Olivia cried in the bathroom stall and “You’re taking me home.” I’m excited about the rest of the season – switching between our universe and the alternate universe. It should be good. (Side note: The entire time Olivia was in the asylum thing I kept having flashbacks to SV’s “Odyssey” with Chloe at Black Creek.)

The Mentalist – “Red Sky at Night”
- A typical Mentalist episode except with Jane being a little more ornery than normal. We got very little mention of what happened at the end of last season – Kristina Frye getting kidnapped by Red John. And that was what upset me. If you’re going to name the episodes similarly, they better have something to do with each other and THEY DIDN’T. (Side note: In “Red Sky in the Morning,” those people who were the killers were SO crazy. They were making a movie?! What the hell, guys?)

1. These scenes start in a weird order. I don’t remember exactly where this Nick and Helen scene is (maybe while on the other side of the anomaly toward the end?), but the next scene is definitely at the end of 1.6. Then, it goes back to the middle.
2. But I want to mention… He says “Claudia Brown” a lot (not just Claudia). I love it.
3. Totally had the dream thing figured out. Even the second time. I did entertain the possibility at first though. Both times.
4. “He didn’t run off.” – Love.
5. “You left him. Remember?” – I kind of love this conversation.
6. “I suppose just bombing somewhere’s out of the question.” – Oh, Lester.
7. Claudia as anomaly? Pure genius. I used to wonder why the effects on this show were so good, and then I heard they had a mega-huge budget. That’s why. They’re still super good.
8. Claudia’s day has kind of sucked. Really.
9. OH! PARALLELS! I’ll have to run this down for you.

Claudia: “Don’t go. Stay. I think this is a mistake. I’ve got a really bad feeling about this.”
Cutter: “It’s gonna be fine. I’ll see you soon.”

Then in 3.3:
Jenny: “Nick. She wouldn’t lift a finger to save you.”
Cutter: “Yeah, I know.”
Jenny: “Don’t go. This is a mistake.”
Cutter: “I’ll be fine.”

See? Told you, and why is Cutter always wrong? He should listen to Claudia/Jenny.
